I have worked in education for the last 5 years in various contexts working as a secondary history and English teacher, running outdoor education courses and adventure camps for primary school classes, delivering environmental education workshops to primary school and nursery groups, working one to one with students as a private tutor in English, History, General Study Skills and Essay Writing, and providing general assistance to teachers in both the classroom and in outdoor learning environments. I have lots of experience in supporting students one to one in creating an optimum learning environment, working in interventions to improve numeracy, literacy and science attainment as well as with behaivour interventions, looking for the best way to get students to interact with their learning.

Hobbies
I'm an energetic and enthusiastic person, I love learning new things - the current challenge is Spanish! I enjoy playing music and play guitar, bass and violin, but this is just for fun it's been a while since I've done any proper performing! My main love is the outdoors and when I'm not tutoring I'm either working in the outdoors or playing in the outdoors; walking the dog and hiking, mountain biking, surfing, climbing, and slacklining!
